Severino Scassa, alias “Seve” - this is the name given to one of our route setters. Born in 1969 in Piedmont, in 1991 and 1992 he came second in the World Championships in sport climbing and in 1993 he climbed Italy's first route graded 8c+ - the "Noia 8c+" in Andonno, Piedmont.

Seve has opened up numerous sport climbing areas in Italy and France: having finished his competitive career, he now concentrates on establishing sport climbing routes and has already created over 500. Seve is a driving force in the development of sport climbing in Italy, and we are delighted that he has been setting new routes in the Salewa Cube for many years now.
